What we keep, and why.
We hold as little as we can. Your number is there so we can send you photographs of your antler and tell you where your piece is up to.
LAST UPDATED · AUGUST 2026
This is a draft. It is being reviewed by a solicitor before launch and may change.
01
Who we are
Stag & Cask, Scottish Highlands. We are the data controller for anything you send us. Our contact details are on the contact page.
02
What we collect
Your name, mobile number and delivery address when you commission a piece.
Your build — antler, glasses, mark, decanter and stopper — so we know what to make.
Any artwork you send us for a custom pewter mark.
Your number on its own if you ask us to text you about the whisky or the Cask Book.
03
Why we hold it
To make and deliver your piece, to send you the photograph of your antler for approval, and to keep you posted on your order.
To keep a record of which piece went where, tied to its Stag & Cask number.
To send you the occasional text if you have asked for one. You can stop those at any time by replying to say so.
04
Card payments
Card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us. We see the amount, the date and the last four digits.
06
How long we keep it
Order records for six years, because tax rules require it.
Custom artwork for as long as you own the piece, in case a repair or a replacement mark is needed. Tell us to delete it and we will.
Marketing numbers until you ask us to stop.
07
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Text us or use the contact page.
If you think we have handled something badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
